The Waiting Cat

Deep, chocolatey and wonderfully comforting, The Waiting Cat is made for slower moments.

Its rich body and low acidity make it delicious black, but it also pairs beautifully with milk—especially oat milk. Here are four simple ways to enjoy it.

Tasting Notes: Dark Chocolate · Roasted Hazelnut · Low Acidity
Drip Bag: 10g
Best Brewed At: 89–91°C

A little brew tip:
Let freshly boiled water rest for about 2–3 minutes before pouring. The slightly cooler temperature keeps the cup smooth, rich and chocolatey.

☕ Hot Black (Heavy Cocoa Comfort)

  • Hot Water: 150ml (89°C–91°C)
  • Milk/Ice: None
  • Method: Anchor bag over mug. Bloom with 20ml for 35 seconds. Pour 65ml in gentle circles. Pour final 65ml straight down the center and let drain completely.

🧊 Iced Black (Velvety Chill)

  • Hot Water: 90ml (90°C)
  • Milk/Ice: 60g regular ice cubes
  • Method: Place 60g ice into glass and anchor bag over the glass of ice. Bloom with 20ml for 35 seconds. Slowly circle-pour remaining 70ml over the grounds. Discard bag and stir 10 seconds.

🥛 Hot Latte / Oat Latte (Liquid Hazelnut Praline)

  • Hot Water: 50ml (89°C–90°C)
  • Milk: 90ml dairy or oat milk (warmed to 60°C–65°C)
  • Method: Anchor bag over a small pitcher. Bloom with 15ml for 40 seconds. Pour remaining 35ml at a snail's pace straight down the center. Stir the dense extract into your warm milk.

🍦 Iced Latte / Oat Latte (The Velvet Micro-Latte)

  • Hot Water: 45ml (90°C)
  • Milk/Ice: 70ml chilled milk + 60g regular ice cubes
  • Method: Extract concentrate into a cup (15ml bloom for 40s, then 30ml snail's-pace drip). Fill serving glass with ice and chilled milk. Float dark concentrate on top and stir to enjoy.

However You Brew It

Black, iced, milky or somewhere in between—there’s no wrong way to enjoy The Waiting Cat.

Brew it the way you like it, find a quiet spot, and stay awhile.

Some moments are worth waiting for.
