The story didn't end there.
When we finished The Waiting Cat, it felt like there was still more to discover.
We kept wondering what happened after the front door opened.
Where would Happy spend the afternoon?
What kind of place would capture the same quiet comfort of coming home?
Little by little, the answer appeared.
A tiny takeaway café.
Fresh coffee brewing behind the counter.
Cats quietly going about their day.
A place where you could stop for a moment, pick up your favourite coffee, and continue your journey with a little warmth in hand.
That's how The Waiting Cat Café was born.
Growing the world.
The Waiting Cat Café wasn't created as another product.
It was created as another chapter.
Every Sneaky Beans collection begins with a little moment, but we hope those moments continue to grow beyond the coffee itself.
Designing the café gave us the chance to imagine the world beyond the original illustration—a small neighbourhood coffee shop where familiar faces return, cats quietly keep watch, and every takeaway cup carries a little comfort into someone's day.
Bringing it to life.
Like every Sneaky Beans illustration, The Waiting Cat Café began with rough sketches and countless little decisions.
Every window, every sign and every curious cat was carefully placed to create a tiny café full of warmth and quiet charm.
When the first tote bag was finally printed, it felt as though The Waiting Cat had stepped beyond the coffee box and into everyday life.

To celebrate the launch of Sneaky Beans, we've created 75 limited-edition Waiting Cat Café tote bags.
