Every story begins somewhere.

Before there was coffee, there was a cat.

Her name is Oatmilk, and if there is one thing she loves most, it's finding the warmest patch of sunlight in the house.

Every morning, she'd wake me up before quietly settling beside me. As the morning sun slowly filled the room, we'd simply enjoy the warmth together before the day began.

Those quiet mornings became some of my favourite moments—not because anything extraordinary happened, but because they reminded me that happiness is often found in the simplest things.

That's where The Sunbeam Loaf began.

Watching her became a quiet reminder that happiness doesn't always arrive in extraordinary ways. Sometimes, it's simply a patch of sunshine and a moment to slow down.

The illustration wasn't imagined from scratch.

It was inspired by the little cat who reminds us, every single day, to slow down and enjoy life's quiet comforts.

Not every coffee could become The Sunbeam Loaf.

We searched for a coffee that felt just like those peaceful mornings—comforting, gentle and beautifully balanced.

Our Colombia Cauca was exactly that.

Its soft sweetness, notes of chocolate, brown sugar and toasted nuts, and comforting finish reminded us of the feeling of sunlight slowly filling a room.

Seeing the first finished boxes arrive felt a little surreal.

Months of tasting, sketching, painting, designing and refining had finally become something we could hold in our hands.
